Today Ims (my penpal from the North) came for a short visit.

She wasn't in the mood for a sportsday at her school, so she decided to spend the day with me.

She was waiting in front of my school, it was an huge suprise because she's living all up in the North of Holland, like 2 hours from me by train. It was awesome.

We decided to make some piccies of us in my fav. clothes.

Arnhem Mode Biënalle 2009.

Yesterday me and my little sister went shopping, but not only shopping. We also went to an exhibition about fashion. Arnhem (the city) does that every 2 years. The theme of this year was: Shape. We saw lots of marvelous designs by famous designers. It was really awesome! I really got inspired to go and sew again. But I need to buy the cloth. Almost summervacation and then I will make new clothes. I hope. But for now I will please you with some piccies of the exhibition. If you want to go it's 'till 6th of July. And it's worth it!

Today me and my little sister went out shopping (I'll tell you more about it 'cause we've been to an amazing fashion gallery thingie). I told here that creme colours like babyblue, babypink and lightgreen would look fabulous on her. So I maked this. This all would look very beautiful on her. I totally adore my little sister. She bought some of my style advices, I'm really happy about that. Somebody who follows my advice in style, OMIEGOSH I'm gonna cry.

I failed by making this outfit female and sexy, but I guess she wouldn't mind.

Today, first time school with high heels. I borrowed one pair from Aisha because mine were a little bit to out going. I had nice reactions (: But I was so tall, it was really weird. I need to learn how to walk sexy on them or something. But I walked on them and that's enough for today ;)

This weekend was awesome.
Been to Torenpop with a few friends, Kyteman played there.
I was so happy when he played sorry and I stood next to my best friend. I hold his hand and we totally enjoyed the music.
It was just perfect.
I was sleeping by my best friend, and we had much fun.
It was really a suprise when he told me yesterday that he came to my school today! His school and my school did a sort of project, so he was at my school, it was so weird to see him again.
It looked like he was a student of my school.
How much I wish he was, then I would see him everyday. 'Cause I miss him so much, he lives a 10, maybe 15 miles away from me.
I'm going to call him this evening to see if he liked my school ;)

Oh I loved this weekend.

A man can wear the clothes he likes, but he will still be the accesoire of a woman.
It´s not hard to love Gabrièle `Coco´ Chanel (borned in 1883). Her statements about fashion, always stubborn and sometimes a bit bitchy.
Her love for rich people (sorry but it´s true, she was a 'golddigger') and of course her style.
She started with a shop in hats in a small French city, with money from two of her many lovers.
But quickly she started a shop in skirts, dresses etc. etc.
She designed the famous little black dress (should be hanging in your closet, girls!) and turned man-outfits into woman-outfits.
Her parfum Chanel no. 5 is famous all around the world (I guess, you/your mom/grandma/aunt has it) and she made wearing tweed a fashionstatement.
And don't forget the famous bag with golden chain! Her style was elegant. Ivory mules with a black toe, pearlchains, she made woman look at themselves
differently than they did in the olden days. And she did that without having any fashion/sew education at all!
Now a days the Chanel factory is being runned by our own Karl Lagerfield. Well, I mean he's the artistic director. And he's doing a fabulous job.
I heard he's bringing back more of the old Chanel to the catwalk. But don't forget all the other people who work there, I once saw a documentary about them.
They sew hairpieces of their own hair into the dresses. 'So there's a bit of me on the Catwalk', one of them said. I think that is smart, haha. There's also an
old lady (70 or something) still making some accesoires, she must have been doing that for 50 years.
Coco Chanel died in 1971 in her private suite at the Hotel Rítz in Paris.
Because Coco lived a mysterious life, full of romances and tragic thingies, there is a neeew movie about her. (Don't tell me you haven't heard about it)
'Coco avant Chanel' is Coco in the years for the big succes. How did she came up with all these ideas? Who were her lovers?
The outfits in the movie aren't correct with the outfits she wore at the time, but who cares. They are designed by Karl, so. Also some of the love facts,
aren't right. But who wants to know the real Chanel should be reading one of the books which are written about her. She was actually once pregnant, did you know?
Audrey Tatou (oh, she's amaaaazing) plays Coco, and of course it is all in French. Good for your study, people!

She blew like trumpets.

Let me tell you about my new adoration. He's 22 years old. He's a trumpet player, orchest leader, composer, music genius and he brought together my favourite orchestra. Kyteman, is the man I'm talking about! (of course) He made a CD (the Hermit sessions) and played all the instruments himself! It took hem 3 (!) years. He had a few rappers with him. But on stage you can't play 12 instruments by yourself. So he brought together an orchestra, known as Kyteman's hiphop orchestra. 'Cause they play hiphop. It's quite shocking, me loving hiphop and rap. But this is mixed with Jazz and Blues and it's freakin' awesome. (It also helps me with my french, 'cause there's one french rapper, ReaZun.) When they perform, Kyteman himself steals the show. His way of leading the orchestra is way to cool and hiptothehop. In every song he plays a trumpetsolo. I totally adore their performance. I saw them once, and I'm overjoyed to see them again 13th of June. Kyteman is really upcoming hrer, maybe that's the reason everyone is waring hats and caps lately? Kyteman a Style Icon? I hope so! I wouldn't mind seeing more boys dressed like him! Oelala. ;)
